I teach a 2-hour "Feeding Foundations" breastfeeding class twice a month at GROW prenatal + family center at their Essex, VT location. The goal for each class is to equip you with the tools needed to practice hand expression and colostrum collection, recognize hunger cues, initiate your babies first latch after birth and answer any  questions you have about feeding your baby in the early days. I encourage your support person or partner to join, we will touch on their supportive role! My hope is that you leave my class feeling empowered, informed and grounded in the basics to begin your breastfeeding or pumping journey with confidence. 

In the comfort of your home is where we will primarily see each other. There is something special about meeting you and your baby where you are at, both physically and emotionally. In-home visits can encourage both you and baby to feel safe and heard in the most tender of moments. These visits are tailored to when you need them most, often within the first week after birth though there is no wrong timing for lactation assistance. Together we will work through establishing a comfortable and effective latch, managing milk supply, addressing any pain or discomfort, pumping challenges, safe milk storage and any unique circumstances you and baby are facing. 

I am happy to travel throughout Chittenden, Franklin and Lamoille counties. Further distances can be discussed! Insurance will often cover the cost of these invaluable meetings, check with your insurance company to confirm. 

Private pay initial consults $250, follow-up and in-office consults $200.

Your comfort is one of my top priorities! In-home visits don't fit everyone's needs or schedule, I am more than happy to meet you at my in-office space at GROW's Essex location on Tuesdays by appointment only. Here, we will do a full feeding consult just as we would do in your home.
